Kimberly Carey founded MedPOINT Management, Inc. (MedPOINT) in 1987 and has since grown it into the largest privately owned and operated Managed Services Organization in California.

Ms. Carey’s career began with Medical Management Associates in the early 1980s where she developed and managed IPAs to meet the emerging delegated model needs for commercial payors.

Ms. Carey’s comprehensive, customized management services and her personalized client services approach allows MedPOINT and its skilled staff to successfully meet the unique needs of clients both large and small; from smaller, single-physician practices or large groups of Federally Qualified Health Centers.

Understanding the power of information, Ms. Carey has made significant investments in sophisticated IT systems, enabling MedPOINT staff to work efficiently and effectively to coordinate high quality, cost-effective, integrated care. These technology advancements have been vital to improving health management, chronic and episodic care delivery, and generating better health outcomes for MedPOINT patients/members.

Under Ms. Carey’s leadership, MedPOINT has earned many industry recognitions such as the Molina Top Performing Group Award and the CAPG Standards of Excellence Award.

Ms. Carey is an active member of the California Association of Physician Groups (CAPG), California Primary Care Association (CPCA), and the California Community Clinic Association of Los Angeles County (CCALAC).
