Derek Schneider joined the MedPOINT team in April 2010 and directs the overall finance and accounting activities for MedPOINT Management and its IPA and Hospital clients. In addition, he serves as the liaison between MPMs clients and contracted health plans and regulatory agencies.

Mr. Schneider holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Wabash College and a Master of Business Administration from Rollins College and has over 20 years of healthcare experience with companies such as Anthem/WellPoint, Health Net and Blue Shield of California. His experience covers a broad spectrum of disciplines, including finance, accounting, strategic planning, and political affairs, including tenure as the Treasurer of WellPAC.

Mr. Schneider was instrumental in the creation and management of WellPoint’s Investment in a Healthy California Program, a $200 million capital program to designed to invest in healthcare entities serving low-income urban and rural underserved California communities.

Mr. Schneider currently serves on the Board of Directors for MedPOINT as well as on the Board of Directors – Finance Committee for JWCH, Inc.
